Forbes recently published an infographic listing “The Best Employers in the U.S. Tech Sector” which lists the “top employers in IT, internet, software and services, as ranked by employees.”
The publication teamed up with Statista, to ask some “20,000 American workers at large U.S. companies, nonprofit institutions, government agencies, and U.S. divisions of multinationals this question: how likely would they be to recommend their employer to someone else on a scale of 0-10?”
LexisNexis earned a ranking of 8.47 – enough to the seventh spot on the top 10 list. The infographic is posted nearby and it’s this week’s Friday Share.
Building out a Technology Center of Excellence
In North Carolina, LexisNexis has steadily built a Technology Center of Excellence. The company has consolidated all U.S. software businesses in Raleigh and today that includes:
- Business of law software products for practice, matter and billing management
- Litigation tools for early case assessment, eDiscovery, and trial presentation
- Managed technology services and law firm data hosting
We’d venture to say that among U.S. employers, LexisNexis likely has more technologists dedicated to legal technology than any other business. In 2014, the NC Technology Association selected LexisNexis as a finalist for its annual “Best Place to Work” awards category.
There’s a grand vision too – at the 2014 International Legal Technology Conference last year, the top executive from the software and technology division provided a presentation to customers about what’s in store.
That presentation is available on SlideShare and can be viewed here: SlideShare Friday: 5 Key Trends in Legal Software.
