Value is topical conversation this week. Bruce MacEwen spelled out an economic viewpoint of value on Wednesday to provide a “step towards unpacking what clients mean when they speak of value.”
Today, Jeffery Brandt summarized Mr. MacEwen’s thoughts in the PinHawk Law Technology Daily Digest as diving “into the ‘sell it for more’ and the ‘make it for less’ models. He notes that while there is a ‘middle market,’ it’s very tough place to survive.”
Finally, our own Kris Satkunas summed up the value of benchmarking in corporate legal in a short 20 minute webinar earlier this week.
The YouTube video embedded nearby is a very short recording of that webinar that walks viewers through the six key legal metrics stemming from the latest CounselLink Enterprise Legal Management Trends Report.
The report and a legal trends scorecard were first published earlier this month and are based on an analysis of $17 billion in legal spending. Ms. Satkunas conveys what these numbers mean, explains the underlying drivers and breaks down the value of benchmarking in corporate legal.
It is of course, this week’s Friday Share:
