LexisNexis Ironman Raleigh

Sixteen.  Including a three-person relay team, that’s the number of LexisNexis employees that competed in the LexisNexis Ironman Raleigh 70.3 race this past Sunday.  Thirteen went the entire 70+ miles on their own and crossed the finish line.

Downtown Raleigh ran red with the LexisNexis colors as more than 50 volunteers, dressed up in t-shirts with the design you see above, spread out across the course to assist at water points, aid stations and other supporting activities. LexisNexis swag — from bullhorns to cowbells — was visible all along the streets.  As a team we were in our own backyard, contributing to the community and getting involved in the local spirit, rather than as technologists commercializing software.

The weather cooperated as well, since it was a modest 80 degrees on race day, which is relatively cool for this part of North Carolina this time of year. We are, obviously, very proud of all of our team members who went out on a weekend to represent the company donning the red and black uniforms, which were designed by our own creative team.

While we’re still compiling hundreds of photos taken by our teammates, here are 10 that we thought merit sharing with the broader legal tech community.
